MJ offers a unique combination of her extensive international
leadership and management experience of working with people

MJ spent the early part of her life and work in New Zealand
and Australia, where she held senior human resource generalist
roles. Her move to Hong Kong began her journey as a trainer,
working with clients across Asia. Committed to life learning
and self-development, MJ has translated her diverse life experiences
into a well-rounded understanding and sensitivity to cross-cultural
issues. Therefore, she’s in demand with multinational
organizations across the Asia region, in all industry sectors.
As a trainer, her specializations include designing and facilitating
workshops on communication, behavior and performance driven
skills.
As the Director of Training and Executive Coaching at Active
Communication, MJ is the driving force behind the company’s
continued growth and success. This entrepreneurial experience
gained by expanding the business across Asia, spanning over
10 years, has translated into her strong strategic thinking
and business acumen that enables her to build rapport and
understanding with her clients and offer optimum solutions.
She is seen as an aware innovator and has strong business

Murrihy founder of the Woman’s Forum co-ordinated
the evening that was attended by some 288 people and raised
over HK$150,000 for SoulTalk, a caring and confidential
support network for women in relationship crisis, founded
by Andrea Gutwirth. MJ,
was nominated for this Award by her staff in recognition
of her attitude to ‘charity and helping others’.
As the owner and energy behind local communication,
behaviour and performance company Active Communication,
she received this special tribute, the first time it
has been given. It recognises a lady who has excelled
in her life, overcome tremendous obstacles and pushed
on regardless to make a difference to her professional
and/or personal life and the lives of others.
